Lesson Plans - Monday, August 31, 2020

Using Workbook, turn to Reading week of August 31. Work pages 1 & 2.  Follow the directions on the pages.  Screen shot both sides to me.
 
Turn to the Extra Reader section and find the book "Can It Fit?"  Tear that page out and fold the page in half.  Practice reading to story to someone at home.
 
Turn to the Sight Word section and find Unit 2 flashcards.  Tear this page out.  Cut the cards apart on the dotted lines and practice the words with someone at home.  Practice these everyday.  We will have a test on all of the flashcards after Labor Day.  Keep your cards in a sandwich bag.
 
Turn to the Phonics section to Worksheet 16.  Practice writing "Ff " on the line.  (Parents you say the sound and let your child write the letter that makes the sound.)  On #1 write the beginning sound in octopus (short o) On #2 write the beginning sound in apple (short a).  On #3 write the beginning sound in igloo (short i).  On #4 write the beginning sound in 
sink (s). On #5 write the beginning sound in dog  (d). 
On #6 write the beginning sound in ice (long i).  On #7  write the beginning sound in zipper (z) and write the letter that sometimes has z's sound (s).  On #8 write the beginning sound in acorn (long a).  On #9 write the beginning sound in 
leaf (l).   On #10 write the beginning sound in open (long o).
On #11 Write the word last.  On #12 write the word snap.  On #13 write the beginning sound in fish (f).  On. #14 write the word if.  On # 15 write the word sift.  On # 16.write the word soft.  Read the words # 17 - # 26.  Draw a line from the pictures to the correct words.   Turn over on the back of this sheet.  Practice writing F and f on the lines.  Read the directions in the box.  Follow them to complete the page.  Screen shot both sides of the sheet and send it to me by school status.
 
Turn to the Math section of your workbook.  Turn to Guided Class Practice 16 A.  Follow the directions and complete both sides of the page.(16 A and 16 B)  Screen shot and send it to school status.
